week 1 monday night

[ The upside to not needing to sleep is having a lot of free on your hands. The downside to not needing to sleep is finding things to fill it with. That's an excuse enough for why Natsuno finds himself complying with Riku's request to stop by his room at some point. The hour (late) is just coincidental too. The thought of being a stereotypical okiagari makes his stomach churn.

Not knocking on the door, just stepping in unannounced. That's what to be expected when permission isn't an issue, as it was. ]

Riku. You lost your pink hair.

[rikuchi]

[ Riku doesn't seem to mind either, given that he knows Natsuno, and that he's hard to get upset in general about things anyway. ]

...if I had to deal with it more than one day, I don't think anyone would be able to take me seriously.

[ He was about to have issues if his hair remained pink, and he releases a small sigh. He's also gotten done washing his hair, so he's dressed, but there's a towel around his neck.]

[ Whoops. He really should have knocked, but it's not out of the usual embarrassment that makes Natsuno divert his eyes after looking a second too long. Just gonna take up residence holding up the wall after closing the door, arms crossed. ]

Yeah. The only other person I knew with pink hair was delusional and a stalker.

[ Everything is fine. Riku is chill with it, totally.

Not the first time he's been shirtless in company, thanks to islander life. ]

...Do I want to know more than that?

[ He's asking, but also, he does trust Natsuno's judgment here in the event of there being is a teensy bit of curiosity...which probably isn't going to win out. ]

No, but you already asked. She used to sit outside my window every night for hours.

[ Too bad, Natsuno. You're gonna just have to deal. ]

[ Is it sad he has to think about that in conjunction with his experiences? Yes. ]

[ He'll go to sit down on the bed now. ]

...So, now that you're here, want to talk about what happened before we got here?

[ You know, the whole 'you bit me and all that' thing. ]

[ Yes, yes it is. ]

Fine. [ A few seconds tick by in silence, but despite everything and how Natsuno is—he won't leave Riku hanging. ]

What about it? It won't happen again.

week 4 sunday afternoon

[ It's that time again for Natsuno to invade people's spaces when they least expect it. Maybe not completely random given their brief exchange during trial, but the timing is at least.

Walking in without knocking is a go. ]

You over your headache from trial yet?

[rikuchi]

[ Riku could be seen sitting on his bed, hands in lap, a wry smile appearing on his face briefly. ]

Yeah. Just barely.

[ ... ]

Can't say I saw that one coming, really. Which might sound kind of silly, seeing the way the trial before this went.

[ Natsuno snorts and makes his way over to the chair after closing the door. He can't be expected to sit down in it properly, so he just drapes himself over the back lazily. ]

That mean you knew Kurusu or something? Or just that it was even worse than Watanuki's dramatics the week before? [ Taking all their deaths, shouting back and forth about titles, c'mon. ]

[rikuchi]

[ That about almost makes him give a snort too. Dramatics indeed. ]

I assumed Akira wouldn't have gotten that desperate. [ Guess even he can be a little naive from time to time. ] We spoke a little here or there, and I'd like to say that I knew him less than his friends, but it might be that no one really did.

...I also expected something ridiculous with the witches, so it could be this seemed more surprising.

Seems like it, he snapped pretty cleanly in two. [ Shrugging, he's glad he didn't pay much attention to the end. It all gave him one gigantic headache and he's glad that's over and done with. ]

Maybe that'll be next week because someone's going to fall for her nonsense again. The amount of people who let her get under their skin increases every week.

[ He'll nod. ]

I'll admit, she gives it her best shot, but half of the time it could be avoided in the first place if they didn't engage her. She gets the most satisfaction when she gets a reaction out of someone.

[ He can't fault people for being emotional but he supposed he could advise people not to fall for her trap...as good that would do. ]

She's just annoying. But I guess it doesn't take much to scare people. [ He sighs. ]

Nirrti aside, the Watanuki situation isn't much better. Despite the fact that he dragged us into this like she did, people just want to wave that away.

It's dangerous and stupid.

...I don't think I could even if I tried. I understand why Syaoran wants to trust him at least - he's probably reminded of his friend, and he's said as much. But, he's no longer the person he used to know, even if I don't doubt Watanuki has a soft spot for him either.

[ Riku could see that Watanuki is capable of caring. But at the same time, it seemed to him that trusting a witch completely is dangerous. He doesn't think he can convince Syaoran otherwise, but he hoped the others would at least consider being cautious at least. ]

People do stupid things all the time, so I can't say I'm surprised.

week 5 saturday night

[ Well the door's unlocked and Natsuno is curled up and looks to be sleeping on the bed with the giant fluffy pom-pom anon, but Riku is free to step inside. ]

[rikuchi]

[ Oh no...the giant pom pom Anon is cute?

He'd also never thought he'd walk in while the other was sleeping, but here we are. ]

...hey, Natsuno.

[ May as well not stand there and say nothing once he's inside. ]

[sotoshini]

[ It is, and it is also very soft. ]

Mmn? Get your tea yourself. [ Well at least that's a response. ]

[rikuchi]

Get your tea yourself?

[ He sounds kind of confused. ]

...I didn't ask for any tea.

[ He wonders if Natsuno is still stuck in some kind of place where he's half-asleep, half-awake. ]

[ Mumbling he rubs at his eyes and sits up. ]

Yeah, yeah you always- [ Opening up one bleary red eye. ]

...Riku?

[rikuchi]

[ Taking a spot against a wall to lean against it and cross his arms. ]

Yeah, it's me. I thought I should come by after everything that happened.

[sotoshini]

[ He'll take a second to reposition himself on the bed and just lean on the plush. ]

Ah. I... [ Opening both eyes now. ] I don't understand, but thanks. It's been a week but it feels like a lot longer.

[rikuchi]

Anytime. It's what friends are for, right?

[ Riku's got your back, Natsuno.

Even if the situation's difficult, that will never change. ]

...It feels like it's been awhile since I've seen you, so I can't say I don't know the feeling.
